What the Army publishes about selection

There is enough public information to understand prerequisites without inventing secret criteria.

A limited published outline

The Army page describes a Briefing Course, an Aptitude Phase and later training stages. This site does not supply unverified pass times, restricted material or tactical techniques.

Prepare through legitimate channels

Follow official eligibility processes and verified public requirements. Independent coaching can never provide protected information or a place on the course.

A public outline is not a training licence

The Army describes stages including a Briefing Course and an Aptitude Phase, followed by further training. Publication of these names does not grant a civilian provider authority to reproduce the assessments, interpret restricted criteria or coach protected tactical content. The site's role is limited to understanding public steps and sensible civilian foundations.

Where rumours become costly

Claims of secret criteria, exact future scenarios or a guaranteed scoring system are difficult to verify and can encourage unsafe choices. Ask where a detail was published, which route it concerns and whether an official source supports it today. Referral to recruiting staff is often more useful than purchasing a purported inside guide.

A practical source check

Choose one online claim about selection and trace it to the live Army role page. If the current source does not substantiate the detail, label it unverified rather than planning around it.

Sources and official guidance

These references support the published pathway or general safety guidance. An independent exercise is our own educational example; it does not reproduce military assessments. Check any changed requirements directly with the responsible authority.

A distinction worth checking before you act

The published five-stage outline is not a coaching syllabus

The Army publicly lists the specialist Reserve selection sequence in five broad stages. Those published names explain progression but are not permission for civilians to practise protected tactics or recreate hazardous assessments.

Why it changes your decision

A credible civilian service may offer general fitness education, organisation and reflective decision habits, but should not market access to hidden methods, current selection tasks or serving-unit instructions.

Ask the responsible authority

Can a provider show qualified civilian credentials, a written scope and boundaries that exclude restricted methods?
